Maxi Vision Hood

The Maxi-Vision Hood offers wide-angle vision furnished by a multi-dimensional hood. This enlarged hood adapts to twin cartridge respirator, an airline respirator and most SCBA’s. The inner ring allows for easy attachment to the user’s hard hat and keeps it in place. Maxi Vision Hoods with ventilation air capability require the use of the Valve Belt assembly (sold separately) to energize the Hood. The 16” X 11” clear-flex window provides the wearer with a better viewing range than most standard hoods. The rear bib is large enough to cover the upper portion of an air tank. Underarm straps with plastic quick release fittings hold the hood close to the body. The Maxi Vision Hood is manufactured to order.

Closure-MV Hood

Buckle Closure

Chemically resistant black plastic bayonet-style buckle fastener attached to a 1" black polypropylene webbing strap placed under the arms to hold the front and rear bibs close to the body for comfort and splash protection.

Zip Clip with Extenders for a Hard Cap

The zip clip is attached to the headgear frame designed for the Maxi-Vision style Hood allowing it to be worn over a hard hat. A 2" extension is attached to the headgear frame to prevent the Hood crown fabric from resting on top of the hard hat. This option selection is to be worn with a hard hat provided by the employer.

Zip Clip with Included Hard Cap

Pack of 12 40 mil thick field replaceable cover windows to protect the sealed window from scratches, nicks and/or other minor damage. The cover window fits inside the window frame flap surrounding the sealed window.

Valve Belt Assembly Required SS

Valve Belt Assemblies are for use with Shoulder Mount, Shell and Maxi Vision Hoods with an airline. The heavy-duty polypropylene web belt provides firm support for the adjustable valve assembly which attaches to the hood airline hose. The belt also easily adjusts to assure the wearer’s comfort. Fittings are available in 1/4" and 1/2" sizes. Male fittings are standard if included on all valve belt assemblies.

Fabric

HiGlo

HiGlo is a bright yellow, proprietary polyvinyl chloride compound that is coated on both sides. Our compound gives the fabric a softer, more pliant feel and superb low temperature flexibility. At 19 mils to 21 mils thick, HiGlo is the fabric of choice for maintenance and operations personnel within the chemical/petrochemical and HF Refining industries.

CPE

Chlorinated Polyethylene is easily recognized by its bright orange color so that it is readily identifiable in hazardous conditions. CPE is a 23 mil thick proprietary formulated fabric that provides outstanding chemical and flame resistance while maintaining flexibility in low temperatures. It also provides superior protection from inorganic acids, oxidizing acids and aliphatic hydro-carbons. CPE fabric meets and exceeds the Flame Impingement criteria set forth in ASTM F1358.

GraLite®

GraLite® is a pearl gray, proprietary polyvinyl chloride compound that is coated on both sides. The 19 mils to 21 mils thick material offers resistance to most aliphatic hydrocarbons, caustics, organic acids and alcohols.

FlexLite Orange

FlexLite Orange is easily recognized by its bright neon orange color. At 19 mils to 21 mils thick, FlexLite Orange is similar to HiGlo except for its difference in color.

GraLite® 20

GraLite® 20 is recommended for more severe corrosive and abrasive conditions because of its 24 mils to 26 mils thickness. With a PVC coating on one side, GraLite® 20 has proven itself to be a rugged, durable protective fabric.

WinterGlo

WinterGlo is a bright pink and coated on both sides. WinterGlo is 19 mils to 21 mils thick and easily identified by its distinctive color and flexibility.

WinterGlo 20

WinterGlo® 20 is 24 mils to 26 mils thick and offers outstanding chemical resistance. WinterGlo 20 is easily identified by its one side coating and our proprietary PVC formulation keeps fabric soft and flexible year round.
